🕹️ Gameplay Mechanics
Connect the Pairs:
Click and drag to draw a line connecting two identical symbols (e.g., Red to Red, Blue to Blue).
No Crossing:
Lines of different colors cannot overlap or cross each other. If you draw over an existing line, the old line will break.
100% Board Coverage:
This is the twist. To clear a level, you must not only connect all pairs but also ensure the lines cover 100% of the grid cells. Leaving even one empty tile means the level is incomplete.
Scaling Difficulty:
Levels start with small, manageable grids (e.g., 5x5). As you progress, the boards get larger and more crowded with symbols, requiring intricate pathfinding.
💡 Strategy & Guides
🧱 Hug the Edges: Start by connecting symbols that are near the walls of the grid. Usually, their path must run along the edge, which helps define the boundaries for the inner symbols.
🛑 Spot the Chokepoints: Look for symbols that have limited space around them. If a symbol has only one open side, the line must go that way. Draw those obvious lines first.
🐍 The Winding Path: Don't always take the shortest route! To fill every square, you often need to "snake" a line around the board. If two matching dots are close but there is a lot of empty space nearby, take the long way around to fill the void.
🔙 Tweaking, Not Resetting: If you finish connecting but have one empty square left, don't restart immediately. Look at the adjacent lines—usually, making one line slightly "curvier" will fill the gap without breaking the solution.
🏆 Editor's Choice
Here is why I recommend Filling Lines:
Pure Logical Satisfaction: It strips away distractions and focuses on pure problem-solving. The moment when the final line snaps into place and the whole board lights up offers a deep sense of order and accomplishment.
Perfect Curve: The difficulty curve is excellent. It welcomes beginners with open arms but eventually demands serious foresight and planning from veterans.
Stress-Free Gaming: With no timers or move limits (in standard mode), it allows you to play at your own rhythm. It is relaxing rather than punishing.
Ideal Time-Killer: Levels are bite-sized, making it the perfect game to play for a few minutes while waiting for a bus or during a coffee break.
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5) - Infinite variety from a simple rule.
