🕹️ Gameplay Mechanics

  1. Connect the Pairs:

    • Touch and drag to draw a line connecting two identical dots (e.g., Red to Red).

  2. No Crossing:

    • Lines of different colors cannot overlap or cross each other. If a new line intersects an existing one, the previous line will break.

  3. 100% Board Coverage:

    • To clear a level, you must ensure the lines occupy 100% of the grid cells. A valid solution leaves no tile untouched.

  4. Progressive Difficulty:

    • Levels start with small, manageable grids. As you progress, the boards become larger and populated with more colors, requiring more complex pathfinding strategies.

💡 Strategy & Guides

  • 🧱 Hug the Edges: Start by connecting dots located near the borders of the grid. Their paths are often constrained to the edge, which helps define boundaries for the inner lines.

  • 📍 Spot the Chokepoints: Look for dots with limited open space around them. If a dot has only one valid exit direction, draw that line first.

  • 〰️ Winding Paths: The shortest path is not always the correct one. To fill every square, you often need to "snake" a line around the board intentionally to occupy empty space.

  • 🔍 Adjust, Don't Reset: If you have nearly finished but one empty square remains, try adjusting the path of a nearby line. Making a line slightly more "curved" or taking a small detour often solves the puzzle without starting over.

🏆 Editor's Choice

Here is why I highly recommend Filling Lines:

  1. Pure Logical Satisfaction: It offers a distraction-free environment focused entirely on problem-solving. Completing the grid creates a satisfying sense of order.

  2. Balanced Difficulty: The game is approachable for beginners but offers enough depth to keep veteran puzzle solvers engaged.

  3. Relaxing Gameplay: With no time limits in the standard mode, you can play at your own pace. It serves as a great way to relax and refocus your mind.

  4. Instant Access: Being a browser-based game, it requires no downloads or installation. It is perfect for quick sessions anytime, anywhere.

Frontline's design and strategy are top-notch. Easy to learn, hard to master. The ads are a bit frequent but worth it!
