📝 Game Description

"Make 7" is a puzzle game focused on number merging. Played on a honeycomb-shaped hexagonal grid, the game provides you with random blocks numbered 1 through 6. Your task is to drag these blocks onto the board and strategically place them so that three or more identical numbers touch. This merges them into a higher number. The ultimate goal is to create the number "7" (or a Star block) to trigger massive explosions, clear the board, and achieve high scores.

🕹️ Gameplay Mechanics

Simple controls, but as the board fills up, every move requires calculation:

  1. Drag & Rotate: Drag blocks from the bottom tray to any empty spot on the grid. Before placing, you can tap the blocks to rotate their orientation.

  2. Merge Rule: When 3 or more identical numbers are adjacent (e.g., three "4"s), they merge into a single block of the next higher number (becoming a "5"). The merge happens at the spot where you placed the final block.

  3. Ultimate Explosion: When you successfully merge three red "7"s, they don't become an "8". Instead, they trigger a massive explosion, destroying all surrounding blocks. This is the key mechanism to clear space and survive.

  4. Game Over: The game ends when the grid is full and there is no space to place the new blocks given to you.

💡 Strategy Guide

  • Center Clustering: Try to keep high-number blocks in the center of the grid and surround them with lower numbers. The center has more adjacent sides, making it easier to trigger merges from multiple directions.

  • Rotate Wisely: The game often gives you paired blocks. Always rotate them before placing to see which angle maximizes contact with matching numbers on the board.

  • Plan for Combos: The best part of the game is the chain reaction. For example, placing a "2" creates a "3", and that new "3" happens to land next to two other "3"s, instantly merging into a "4". Planning these multi-stage merges yields huge points.

  • The Trash Bin: If the current block is useless or ruins your setup, use coins (or watch an ad) to trash it and get a new one. Don't force a bad move.

🏆 Editor's Choice

As an editor, I recommend "Make 7" for its perfect logical loop. Unlike square grids, the hexagonal grid offers more contact points (6 directions), which means more opportunities for merging but also more complex blocking risks. It constantly forces you to weigh "clearing now" against "building for later." The moment you connect three "7"s and wipe the cluttered board clean is a deeply satisfying release of tension.

It's a decent game for short bursts of fun, but I found the ads a bit distracting. Still, it can be enjoyable if you need to pass the time.
