Bottom-Up Approach: If there are no obvious moves, clear dots at the bottom. This causes the entire board to shift and drop, which is far more likely to create new combos than clearing dots at the top.
Handling Mechanics:
Ice: Ice breaks when you clear the dot on top of it. For thick ice (requiring multiple hits), using the Square mechanic to clear all dots of that color is the most efficient way to chip away at it.
Anchors: Focus strictly on clearing the dots below the anchor to let it drop. Don't waste moves on the sides unless it helps the drop.
Count Your Moves: Be extremely careful in the final moves. If you have 2 moves left and need 5 red dots, forget about setting up a fancy square—just find a long chain to finish the job.
