Shark IO Beginner's Guide: The Right Way to Dominate the Fish Pond

Hello there! I'm Sophia. Today I’m here to recommend and walk you through a weirdly addictive and super catchy casual battle game—Shark IO.

If you like that fast-paced survival vibe of "start with one fish, evolve by fighting," then this game is perfect for sneaking in a few rounds when you're killing time. Although the game is called Shark, you can actually play as all sorts of badass characters from the ocean!

Let's cut to the chase. Click start, match with opponents, and dive right into this brutal yet fun deep-sea battlefield.

1. Core Gameplay: Simple and Brutal "Bayonet Jousting"

Shark IO’s gameplay is very intuitive: it’s an IO-style battle royale where you hold weapons and brawl in a dog-eat-dog fish pond.

See the intense battle scene below?

  • Your Goal: Kill other players and steal their points within the time limit.

  • Attack Method: This isn't "big fish eat small fish"—it's swordfish-style stabbing! Your fish will have various weapons on its head. You need to speed up and rush your opponent, stabbing their body with your weapon to score.

  • Survival Rule: As long as your weapon touches the opponent's side or rear (just like the Pufferfish with the crown taking out the opponent in the picture), they are done for, and you instantly get a point bonus (like +50 points)!

Sophia’s Interface Tips:

  • Yellow Lightning Bar: This is your "Speed Stamina." Hold the screen to speed up when escaping or attacking, but if you use it all up, you’ll swim sluggishly, so use it wisely.

  • Top Right Leaderboard: The 1. PLAYER with the crown is the current overlord. If you want to take first place, keep an eye on their score and chase it.

2. Character Selection: Picking "Thugs" from the Aquarium

Tap the "Fish" option, and you'll find it's basically an aquarium.

  • Beginner Start: At first, you might only have the Shark or Diodon (Porcupinefish).

  • Advanced Recommendations:

    • Sparta: The fish wearing a helmet. It looks like it has high defense and gives a sense of security psychologically.

    • Angler: Comes with its own lantern on its head. Unique styling, hard to ignore in a chaotic fight.

  • Unlocking Tricks: You’ll see many powerful characters (like Hawk or Whale) with a video icon on them. Take Sophia’s advice: watch a short ad to unlock them. Using high-tier characters in low-tier matches early on is basically cheating!

I have to specially mention this silly big guy—Spermwhale.
Although it looks red and festive, in IO games, characters of this size usually have a large hitbox. While turning might be a bit slow, the frontal pressure is intense, and it's great for cornering opponents!

3. Weapon System: An Inch Longer, An Inch Stronger

Don't forget to tap the "Horn" option; this is the soul of the game. You thought fish could only bite? Here, fish can wield broadswords!

  • Beginner Weapon: Basic Sword. Plain and simple, but requires you to rely on positioning to make up for the lack of reach.

  • God-Tier Recommendations:

    • Poseidon (Trident) & Spear: These long-reach weapons are Sophia’s top recommendations! In IO games, Attack Range often determines life or death. If you are a little longer than others, you can take them out before they can stab you.

    • Laser: Looks cool and comes with a futuristic tech vibe.

  • Funny Choice: Tobacco (Pipe). Low damage but extremely insulting. Perfect for mocking opponents in high-level matches.

Sophia’s Exclusive Combat Secrets

Want to take first place on the leaderboard? Gear isn't enough; you need brains:

  1. Refuse Head-on Clashes:
Unless your weapon is much longer than the opponent's, don't rush head-to-head. The best tactic is circling. Lure the enemy to chase you, then use your agile turning to suddenly pull a "reverse stab" into their flank.

  2. Kill Streak Rhythm:
When you kill an enemy (and get +50 points), use that momentum to find the next target. Don't stop and stare, or you'll get ambushed.

  3. Use Ads Wisely:
Preparation pays off. Spend a few seconds before the match to unlock a Poseidon or Ice Sword, and your win rate will increase by over 50%.

Alright, divers, pick your fish, grab your weapons, and go dominate these waters! Wishing everyone MVP in every match!
