As levels progress and traffic increases, simple straight lines will result in pile-ups. You need to master the "Time Lag" tactic:
Detour for Timing: Since all cars travel at the same speed, a longer path means a later arrival. If the Red car and Blue car must cross paths due to terrain, intentionally draw a long loop or a wide detour for one of them. This ensures the "straight-line" car passes the intersection first, while the "detouring" car arrives seconds later, avoiding a crash.
Prioritize: Look at the big picture. Plan the route for the most difficult/furthest car first. Cars on the edges usually have simpler paths and can be drawn last to match the timing of the central cars.
Cornering: Avoid sharp 90-degree turns. Draw smooth curves. The cars have hitboxes (volume), and a sharp turn often causes the rear of the car to clip a wall or obstacle, causing a fail.
Predict the Intersection: Before drawing, simulate it in your head: "When the Red car reaches Intersection A, where will the Blue car be?" This is about predicting dynamic trajectories.
